IOGANY has CANCELLED
the Annual Meeting that was to be held on
October 20, 2016
Due to the current economic conditions under which we operate, coupled with burdensome regulatory issues that we are addressing here in New York, we understand that the last thing many operators and other industry professionals want to do is attend another industry meeting. This is especially difficult to justify when considering the meeting registration fee coupled with being out of the office or field all day. Accordingly, we have decided to cancel the annual meeting previously scheduled for October 20th at Holiday Valley... the first time in 36 years.
We have made this difficult decision in what we feel to be the best interest of our members and the association. Instead of a broad-scoped meeting, we are working on holding alternative, more focused and beneficial “workshop” meetings with the Public Service Commission, the NYSDEC, and possibly key utility companies. Watch your email/mail for details on workshops with both PSC and DEC where you will be able to get answers to issues and concerns you have about the heavy-handed regulatory policies pushed by this administration that threaten our very livelihoods.
The Annual Business Meeting of Members will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
The meeting will take place at Holiday Valley prior to the November Board of Directors meeting. Members are encouraged to attend but you will have an opportunity to vote via proxy which will be mailed to you shortly.
