28TH ANNUAL SUMMER MEETING AND BARBECUE JULY 9-10, 2008 PEEK'N PEEK RESORT AND CONFERENCE CENTER Findley Lake, NY It's that time of year again! IOGA of NY will be hosting its 28th Annual Barbecue and Summer Meeting on July 9th and 10th at Peek’n Peak Resort and Conference Center in Findley Lake, New York. LODGING - Peek'n Peak Resort has reserved a block of rooms for attendees. Make your reservations early and directly with "The Peek" at 716-355-4141, ext. 7154. Please mention that you are with IOGA of NY! On the 9th, IOGA will co-host a Technical Seminar with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). This year's program will cover the many changing aspects of our industry. Speakers will discuss the Barnett and Marcellus shales, legal issues concerning shale development in New York, a NYSDEC regulatory update and land and royalty issues. Plan to join us that evening for a fabulous cocktail reception, where everyone enjoys great appetizers, spirits and conversation. BROCHURES AND REGISTRATION FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE THE WEEK OF MAY 19, 2008! The registration form and brochure will be added to the website and mailed after that time. On the 10th, IOGA will hold it’s Annual Golf Tournament, BBQ, and Equipment Show. In addition there will be a workshop on Thursday morning. Also offered on Thursday morning will be a "Ride and Drive" program hosted by the IOGA of NY PAC, at the Lake Erie Speedway for those not interested in golf or the workshop. (Please contact the IOGANY office for details and Speedway registration form.) Again this year we will have a Custom Vehicle Show during the BBQ. We invite anyone to bring their favorite cars, trucks, roadsters, or motorcyles that would be considered a "show-worthy" classic or custom vehicle. (Please contact the IOGANY office for details and form.) The Equipment Show during the BBQ provides an opportunity to learn about oilfield services, equipment and new technology. Vendors typically include seismic and logging companies, production equipment, completion companies, and other specialized services. If you are interested in exhibiting equipment, technology, or services don’t miss out on this great opportunity. Exhibiting is free; however, each exhibit attendant must have a PAID barbecue ticket. (Please contact the IOGANY office for details and form.) Peek'n Peak has a luxurous new spa! "The Spa" offers a tranquil retreat with a full range of treatments. They have offered IOGA of NY hotel guests a 15% discount on any of their services. Reservations should be made in advance and please mention IOGA when making your appointment at the spa for this discount. Again this year Peek'n Peak is offering a discount to those IOGA of NY participants who would like to enjoy a round of miniature golf. The discounted price for IOGA of NY attendees will be $4.00 per person. To receive your discount, just mention that you are with IOGA of NY. The following provides details of sponsorship: GOLF TOURNAMENT INFORMATION We have added an additional golf course to the tournament this year. We are pleased to add the Lake View Country Club in North East, PA to the tournament. Lake View is located in North East, PA (8351 Station Rd., Route 89), with a course measuring 6770 yards and plays to a par 72. Lake View was host of the 1996 PA State Amateur Championship and the 2002 West Penn Amateur Championship. The course is challenging and the conditions are held to a very high standard. Lake View Country Club is approximately 11 miles from Peek'n Peak Resort and there will be complimentary transportation available to the course on a limited basis. The Tournament is as follows: Peek’n Peak Upper Course – Play your own ball, including one-half cart - $102.00 per person Peek’n Peak Lower Course – Scramble, including one-half cart - $78.00 per person Lake View Country Club – Scramble, including one-half cart - $102.00 per person PRIOR TO JUNE 15TH, 2008 ALL RESERVATIONS ARE BY GOLF SPONSORSHIP ONLY! After June 15th all reservations will be made directly with Peek’n Peak. GOLF SPONSORSHIP: $225.00 There is a NEW PROCEDURE this year to Sponsor the Golf Tournament! When paying for your sponsorship you will pay for your foursome at the same time. IOGA of NY has also begun taking credit cards for your convenience. Golf sponsorships can now be made through the IOGA of NY website (www.iogany.org), as well as by check. Sponsorship and golf course selection is on a “first come, first served” basis. Reservations will be taken from 10:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. All reservations (all three courses) must be made through Ron after June 15th! BARBECUE SPONSORSHIP Over the past several years, this event has grown in popularity and attendance. This year we expect attendance of more than 700 oil and gas professionals, giving sponsors an excellent opportunity for corporate exposure. We acknowledge all sponsors with a sign at the barbecue and again in the newsletter following the event. For any company donating $1,500 or more, there will be a large banner with the company name prominently displayed on the grounds (payment must be received by June 25th in order to have the banners prepared). Your company can specifically designate your donation to the first day’s cocktail reception or various BBQ items such as music, tent, ice cream, beverages, etc. Signs with your company name will be placed next to the item/event sponsored.
